How do I get tree sap off the bottom of my tennis shoe?

We had some wood delivered and I just stepped in tree sap with my tennis shoes. How do I get it off? I%26#039;d like to avoid ruining the rubber sole if possible. Thanks!

You may be able to use goo be gone, which is found at most major superstores like Publix.
Reply:WD-40 might take it off.
Reply:Get an ice-cube and get the sap very cold and peel it off the sole of the shoe. Do it in small sections until it is all gone.
Reply:stick them in the freezer and then once frozen pop it off.
